Re: LEDs test for EMC2, with z7030

Hi,
It's a short VHDL code. It divides the PCIe reference clock and with that output clock toggles the LEDs.

Re: LEDs test for EMC2, with z7030

If it complains about hw_server, it means you have another Vivado open, or there is a process of the hardware manager still open. I suggest you check the task manager, and end all the processes related to Vivado, specially the one called hw_server, and try again. The jumper at JP11, just leave it op...

Re: LEDs test for EMC2, with z7030

Thanks Timoteo. I am unable to connect to the device using Vivado Hardware Manager. Can you please help? I get this error in Vivado: ERROR: [Labtoolstcl 44-494] There is no active target available for server at localhost. Targets(s) ", jsn-DLC10-000013e2173401" may be locked by another hw_...

LEDs test for EMC2, with z7030

Hi,

Here I attach a .bit file to test the leds on the board, so that you can check fast if programming the FPGA through JTAG works fine.
Just open hardware manager, and select the .bit file to program the FPGA.

Re: Programming the EMC2 board

Hi Francois, Im glad it works fine. Carl, answering your question about the LEDs on the EMC2 board (what we talked about in Trondheim): There are four LEDs onboard (LED1,LED2,LED3,LED4), four LEDs on the SEIC extension (LED1 peripheral, electrically related to the 4 onboard*), and two more at the Et...

Re: Voltages in EMC2

Hi Jan, As soon as you have access to the forum you will read this. Here you will find the documentation of the board, the latest version of the Starter's guide gives you that information. http://support.tulipp.eu/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2 In case you dont have access to this, here is the guide: EMC...

Voltages in EMC2

Hi Flemming, according to Jiri's explanations we need to swap G2 and G3 signal. Could you provide some information were exactly these signals are routed on the top of the PCB? Furthermore I have questions regarding JP7(A) and JP8(A). I did not find any information which pin is PIN1 at these jumpers....

Re: Programming the EMC2 board

Hi Francois, Definitely, never configure the IO Voltages while the board is on. The guide was answering independent questions, but as I see it can be misunderstood, I will modify it, and re-upload it. Try as you said to program the FPGA from SD card, and if it works, probably the Trenz module is alr...

Re: Programming the EMC2 board

Thanks for your answer, Ive never used Vivado Hardware Manager out of a project, and I find the same problem as you. I tried it in different modules, and it doesnt work either. I even opened a project and tried to program the FPGA, and it didnt work. And Ive been using this computer to program FPGAs...

Re: Programming the EMC2 board

Thanks for your reply Francois, Could you attach a screenshot of the Project Settings window, so that I see the FPGA part, and which board files you are using? Can you check if the Xilinx Platform USB connector has its LED on, and no blinking? Are you able to swap the JTAG cable and check is not a h...
